Gordon Doxey had a 2.4kWp Solar pv system fitted at a cost of around £8,600. Although the roof orientation was west facing it still produces an estimated 1,753 KwH/Year giving an annual financial benefit of £891 which equals an annual return of 9.27% on his investment and a CO2 saving of the equivalent to driving 61,087 miles in a 2.0 litre car.

Because I work regular night shifts I do not use a lot of electricity, but my gas bills are quite high. With the money I am making from my solar system it easily pays for my gas and electric and although I am not quite CO2 neutral, I certainly am pound neutral when it comes to my bills.
Gordon goes to on add...
The guys arrived on time and guided me through the procedure of what they were going to do. If I had any questions, they were answered in detail. The team were very neat and careful, in both fitting the panels to my roof as well the electrical installation in my attic. I was very impressed with the company’s presentation and the overall professionalism I experienced. I would definitely recommend SSP UK for an honest, efficient and all round great service.

Solar Panel Installation Update
Utility bills are generally approached with dread during the winter months, but Gordon Doxey was ecstatic to receive his monthly bill for November which was dramatically reduced as a result of having a SSP UK PV system installed in September 2011.
Mr Doxey had a 2.4kWp system comprising of 12 Monocrystalline panels attached to the west-facing rear of his property with the view of becoming pound neutral with his utility bills. Mr Doxey stated; ‘Because I work regular night shifts I do not use a lot of electricity, but my gas bills are quite high. The system performed to it's high standards and through the Feed In Tariff payment of £68.41 for a generation of 158 kilowatts achieved this in the month of November where cloudy days and dark afternoons are common, resulting in a gas bill of £28.00 and a electricity bill of -£27.86.
This is because SSP UK install Caymax panels, specifically engineered and tailored to suit the UK climate and weather conditions. Mr Doxey said... I am over the moon and am looking forward to the summer months to see what returns I will get!

Predicated Energy Performance And Energy Saving
The Performance of Microgeneration Solar pv systems are impossible to predict with certainty due to the variability in the amount of solar radiation (sunlight) from location to location and from year to year. This estimate is based upon the government standard assessment procedure for the energy rating of buildigs, (SAP) and is given as guidance only. It should not be used as a guarantee of performance.
